Allison Young
Director of Sexual Abuse Services, Elmcrest Children’s Center

As director of sexual abuse services for Elmcrest Children’s Center in Syracuse, Allison Young supervises two hard-to-place units for youth who cause sexual harm; sexual abuse services for youth in residential care; and the Family Transitions Program, a community-based treatment program working with victims of sexual abuse, sexually reactive children and adolescents who cause sexual harm. She was named director of the Family Transitions Program in 2006.Young and her staff were honored with the 2011 Marilyn Etcheverry Award from the New York State Alliance of Sex Offender Service Providers and The New York Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers.She works with Fordham University’s Children and Families Institute for Research, Support and Training to present sexual abuse training for New York State caseworkers, and also provides treatment to adult sexual offenders with NUSTEP Professional Counseling Services in Syracuse.
